   While serving as the Director of Echocardiography at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, my co-founders and I saw a need to develop a smaller, disposable device to give doctors a way to have the same gold-standard transesophageal echo methods used in surgery available afterward for patients during recovery. We started this medical device and life sciences company in 2006 and have since designed, tested, and launched hemodynamic ultrasound to assess the appropriate interventions for critically ill patients recovering from trauma, surgery, or cardiac procedures. Our FDA-approved solution is now trusted by hospitals across the U.S, throughout Asia and Europe, and has also been tested by NASA. In the early stages, I drove fundraising efforts for R&D, led product development with the engineering team and managed the application development. I also directed FDA approval and clinical trials for this new device and application. In 2010, I was appointed by the Board of Directors to serve as the Chief Medical Officer for the organization due to my fluency in all areas of medicine and my background as a physician and echocardiography expert. In this role, I: Drive all clinical and regulatory development/strategy planning and implementation. Serve as a subject matter expert for the medical considerations both internally and externally to work with engineering teams, develop sales messaging, and present at external events worldwide. Recruit and collaborate with key opinion leaders (KOLs) across the world and develop and deliver education sessions and presentations internationally. Develop and deliver training for all field-based clinical specialists including tools, methods, and processes. Manage Voice of the Patient and healthcare market trends to communicate market needs to R&D / Product Development As CEO, I also lead all facets of strategic planning, business development, sales, marketing, and financial oversight.
