ABOUT SCOTT REEVES
I am a social scientist who has been undertaking health professions education and health services research for over 20 years. I am Professor in Interprofessional Research at the Centre for Health and Social Care Research at Kingston University and St George\'s, University of London, and also Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Interprofessional Care. I initially spent 11 years at City University, London before moving to North America for a decade. First in Canada where I was the inaugural Director of Research, Centre for Faculty Development, St Michael’s Hospital; Senior Scientist, Wilson Centre for Educational Research; Scientist, Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St Michael\'s Hospital and Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto. During this time I was also appointed as the inaugural Evaluation Director, Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative. I then moved to the US where I was Founding Director, Center for Innovation in Interprofessional Education; Professor, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Department of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco. I hold/have held a number of honorary/adjunct faculty positions in a number of institutions around the world, including: Karolinska Institutet, Sweden; Dalhousie University, Canada; Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan; Queen Mary, University of London, UK; Waikato Institute of Technology, New Zealand; University of Limerick, Ireland.My main interests are focused on developing conceptual, empirical and theoretical knowledge to inform the design and implementation of interprofessional education and practice activities. I have published numerous peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, textbooks, editorials and monographs. An increasing amount of my work has been translated from English into other languages including French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Norwegian and Russian.
