Today I serve as Chief Information Officer at KBX Logistics, where I lead enterprise technology strategy and modernization efforts to support the next generation of digital logistics. Our focus is building scalable platforms, trusted data foundations, and AI-enabled capabilities that improve operational performance and accelerate growth.At KBX we are focused on:• Modernizing technology platforms to support the Managed Freight strategy• Building a data-centric architecture and domain data products to enable trusted analytics and AI• Accelerating engineering delivery through AI-assisted development and platform automationMy career spans more than 30 years across manufacturing, logistics, and enterprise technology. Prior to KBX, I spent over two decades at Georgia-Pacific, where I led global technology teams supporting manufacturing operations across more than 100 sites and hundreds of operational systems.Across every role in my career, I’ve focused on a few things that matter most:• Building environments of accountability and trust where people feel safe speaking up and respectfully challenging ideas• Developing leaders and helping people discover strengths they may not yet see in themselves• Turning struggling or fragmented teams into high-performing teams that deliver results• Simplifying complex problems so teams can focus on solving the right problems• Using data, automation, and modern platforms to improve operational performanceMany of the roles I’ve taken on involved stepping into teams that were struggling or not delivering expected results. By focusing on clarity, accountability, trust, and teamwork, those teams were able to regain momentum and become strong partners with the business.I’ve never believed leadership is about being the smartest person in the room. The best outcomes come from building teams where people trust each other, share knowledge freely, challenge ideas respectfully, and work together to solve meaningful problems.Growing up I was an introverted kid who never imagined I’d one day be a CIO. I’ve been fortunate to have leaders who saw potential in me and gave me opportunities to grow. Because of that, what motivates me most today is paying that forward. Creating environments where others can discover what they’re capable of and develop into the next generation that can make a real difference.
