As Director, Syndicated Financing, I am responsible for identifying, developing, and recommending senior debt participations with other financial institutions within the syndicated debt markets in Ontario.The Syndicated Financing Group supports larger firms through senior debt participations alongside other financial institutions as a complimentary lender across multiple industry sectors. We operate as a consistent, stable, and complimentary provider of liquidity to the Canadian debt syndication market, addressing market inefficiencies for the benefit of Canadian companies. We sustain a state of readiness for periods of uncertainty or credit compression for Canadian syndicates and maintain permanent in-house syndication expertise. BDC’s Syndicated Financing Group continuously strives to be a trusted partner to Canadian banks and select private sector lenders. We have built a strong reputation within the Canadian market based on the successful execution of complex transactions and consistent messaging around our capabilities. Financing products include Cash flow lending, ABL, reserve-based lending, renewable energy financing, Commercial real estate.Reporting to Canada’s Managing Director, Syndicated Financing, we maintain national market coverage across a diversified portfolio with teams located in Toronto, Calgary, and Montreal. ABOUT SCOTT PULVER
Scott is a Director for Syndicated Financing on the National Syndications Group located in the Toronto office. In this role, he is responsible for identifying, developing, and recommending participations in Canada’s senior syndicated debt markets across a variety of industries. Scott has 17+ years of experience in commercial and corporate finance. He was previously Regional Director, Corporate Financing for the Province of Ontario where he led the team for BDC’s large client segment across multiple industry sectors. He was responsible for the operations of the business unit, the implementation of regional initiatives and strategies, and the overall growth and performance of the Ontario portfolio. Prior to this role, Scott was a Director for Corporate Financing where he structured, negotiated, and executed transactions with large corporate segment clients within Southwestern Ontario. Before joining BDC, Scott spent 10+ years with Scotiabank Commercial Banking in both client facing and credit underwriting roles. He is an experienced financial professional with a proven track record of exceeding objectives and KPI’s, both at an individual and group leadership
