ABOUT SCOTT PIERSON

I specialize in all facets of criminal litigation. I represent clients in cases that include traffic tickets, driving while intoxicated offenses, expungements, drug charges, assault charges, Federal charges, and all State charges. In other words, complete criminal defense coverage. While at Missouri State, I competed on a national ranked policy debate team. I was also involved with Missouri State University, serving leadership roles including Student Body Vice-president. I was awarded the Board of Governors Commendation for Outstanding Service to the University. Further, I was awarded Greek Man of the year, the highest honor given to an individual in the Missouri State Fraternity system. I went on to obtain my Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Law. While in law school I was the winner of outstanding oral advocate in the Ellison Moot Court Competition. Further, I competed on the national moot court team. My high aptitude in trial preparation and argument led to being selected by faculty to the distinguished Order of the Barristers. Working at the Public Defender’s Office, I was given the chance to participate in numerous bench and jury trials at both the misdemeanor and felony level in state court. I was fortunate enough to have frequent success in felony and misdemeanor litigation. After working as a Public Defender for a couple years, I began working for the Law Offices of Wampler and Passanise in January of 2014 where I focus solely on criminal law. Scott remains involved in the Springfield Community with Big Brother Big Sisters of the Ozarks and serves on the Theta Chi Iota Beta Alumni Board of Directors.
