Ensure proper operation of the Districts Wide Area Network (WAN), individual building Local Area Networks (LAN), and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN). Provide constant uninterrupted Internet access for all schools and administrative offices.Maintain district telephone service, to include telephone access to/from every classroom and cell phones as required.Maintain and repair District computers and peripheralsAct as a single point of contact for District computer, software, and peripheral purchases, to maintain constant and consistent purchasing of high quality, industry standard hardware and software.Ensure proper software license compliance.Supervise both in-house and contracted technical services employees and ensure proper QOS on all repairs/maintenance.Hold current certifications.Provide leadership for, develop, update, and follow a technology plan for the District.Maintain District web pages and develop or purchase web applications as needed.Administer and plan a District wide technology budgetProvide effective in-service trainingWork with the Director of Finance and with the Grants Coordinator to find and utilize alternative technology funding opportunitiesProvide post service technology training for instructional staffProvide network security, both physical and from technological attacks.Administer District USF opportunitiesKeep informed of current technology trends and investigate their possible use in a K-12 environmentBe proficient in the following technologies and/or software packages: Windows Active Directory/GPO GMail and Google Docs PowerSchool Provide technologies for curriculum integration as requested by instructional staff.Maintain and update the District Acceptable Use Policies.Keep an accurate inventory and ensure a proper preventative maintenance schedule for district technology devices.Cooperate with and foster community involvement in technology projects.
