    Provides leadership, management, onboarding, and operational oversight to over 2,300 privileged and non-privileged members of the medical staff, nursing staff, dental and allied health providers- Works collaboratively with C-Suite members of Navy Hospitals, Medical Executive Committees (MECs), and medical/nursing/dental/allied health leaders to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the programs and activities to ensure strategies and goals are supported and attained, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation requirements- Manages a yearly operating budget of $2.5M and one stand-alone credentialing office facility- Established a Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) within Navy Medicine, processing over 600 pre-application clinical privileging applications annually to ensure new healthcare providers entering Navy Medicine possess the proper credentials and clinical skills prior to hiring actions- Supervises employees of the Medical Staff Office; 3 mid-level managers and 20 coordinator/specialist level positions. Provides resources to Medical Staff Office leaders to assist in performing their responsibilities- Plans, formulates, and recommends approval of MEC policies, procedures, programs and otherstrategies to advance the strategic objectives and requirements of the Navy Medicine- Coordinates and maintains medical staff bylaws, credentialing/privileging rules and regulations, and policy- Assures review of policies and governance documents on a regular basis and recommends changes to the MEC or Governing Body as appropriate- Oversight of all credentialing activities (initial appointment, reappointment, clinical privileging systems) in accordance with corporate policies and medical staff bylaws- Ensures meeting coordination and management of all Medical Staff committees- Assists with provider recruiting and retention- Coordinates implementation all approved programs, projects, and major activities of the department.
