ABOUT SCOTT NEWBY
In my career to date, I have undertaken a variety of senior leadership positions at Lloyds Banking Group, St James\'s Place, Scottish Widows and G4S, as well as establishing my own successful company and managing a semi-professional men\'s football team. Originally from Edinburgh and now based in Harrogate, I am married with 2 children. My biggest asset is ‘me’ and how I interact with and inspire others. I have a natural ability and personality to improve the atmosphere and culture within any team or group of people, whether that be a commercial leadership team or an adult football team - I am a natural leader. Every team I have been part of has become happier, more cohesive and better performing due to my leadership. I am an authentic leader who effortlessly inspires and supports others to want to be the best they can be, as well as being part of something. I thrive on being part of a team and achieving things together, which is where I believe this natural leadership style comes from. Previous colleagues have always been very positive about the impact I had on them, with the most consistent piece of feedback being that I create a vision which they feel invested in and that everyone feels part of something special. This creates a happy, engaged and high performing team, with lots of open and honest communication and a true desire to support and develop each other. In terms of my employment history, I spent 12 years working for Lloyds Banking Group (LBG). My experience at LBG inspired me to set up my own company in 2017 specialising in organisational culture and mental wellbeing in the workplace. I have worked with a wide range of clients across the private and public sectors, from SMEs to large international corporations. This period of my professional life was hugely rewarding as I was able to support many organisations and individuals to create a positive working environment, which was often life-changing for them. This led to commercial benefits such as reduced staff turnover, improved colleague performance and reduced costs. From a personal perspective, running my own company vastly broadened my skills, confidence and experience beyond all of my expectations. I use all of that knowledge and ideas to make a difference to organisations I work with. s••••••••@newbycore.co.uk 07•••••••93
