About Scott Musser

Contract developer, working largely remote and usually billing my services through my own S-corp. I have designed and developed complete commercial and utility applications on Windows, Xamarin.Forms (Android, iOS and UWP) and Android. I\'m comfortable with managed and unmanaged code environments, targeting mobile and desktop platforms. I am a pragmatic, task-oriented developer who tends to be the primary or only developer on MVP (minimum viable product) projects. The apps are in flux based on what is learned along the way. I use binding when binding make sense, and code-behind when code-behind makes sense. I realize that\'s absolute heresy in some shops. Nearly all my projects to date have not required multiple developers nor MVVM patterns.(Binding is obviously used where needed.) My projects to date have not required much work with SQL databases. Most interfaces have been to proprietary data storage, CAN or Bluetooth communications, or web APIs.(Because of this, one-way binding has been the norm where binding is has been used.)To be clear, I am not opposed to MVVM or SQL, but simply want to communicate up front that I do not have reams of experience in those two areas. They have not yet been necessary.So I\'m either a good fit or pretty much not. It depends on the client\'s objectives and culture.
