I am a part of Sheppard Mullin’s national real estate transactional practice. My typical clients are public and private REITS, private equity funds, and other institutional real estate companies. Each year, my team closes over $1.5 billion in transactions primarily consisting of joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, ground up development, and borrower-side financings across the United States. While our transactions cover all asset classes, our recent emphasis has included office, multifamily, life science, medical office and master planned communities. Our joint venture transactions include single asset, portfolio, and programmatic ventures on the investor and sponsor side, as well as complex development projects. I regularly assist clients with value add acquisitions, office to residential conversions, master planned community development projects. Finally, I have also represented non-traditional lenders with the origination, acquisition, and restructuring of mortgage and mezzanine loans, A/B loan structures, loan participations, and other co-lending arrangements, and have significant experience in resolving troubled real estate loans and the purchase and sale of distressed and non-performing loans.
