Position Summary -Commodity LeaderTo develop sourcing strategies for the company and the establishment of processes, procedures, and controls to ensure implementation that provide effective and efficient procurement of goods and services.Major Responsibilities:• Develop focused Sourcing Strategies by identifying opportunities, defining current processes, designing new process, identifying benchmarks/metrics and making recommendations for improvements• Lead and deliver on new sourcing processes by developing project plans, forming cross functional teams, planning resources, selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, leading teams, and implementing new and improved processes• Manage and monitor vendors by setting goals and objectives and measuring achievement• Supporting Commodity Managers as a team member with their projects and initiatives as needed• Provide the latest in procurement technology and methods by looking at new products and methods that will meet the needs of the business• Other projects as assigned by the supervisor
