ABOUT SCOTT KINGTON

Husband, father, Rosie\'s best friend, art and outdoors enthusiast, and pickleball player. Beyond that, I enjoy taking on a good challenge and seeing people achieve what they may not have thought possible. The status quo and I are not close friends. While not all of my career choices have involved entrepreneurial businesses, the environments I have thrived in share the entrepreneurial spirit. A willingness to look forward and flexibility to adapt, open-mindedness and love of continual learning and improvement, a high degree of resourcefulness, a tolerance of the unknown, and the tenacity to see through limitations. Throughout my career, I have loved exploring new opportunities. From helping teams successfully launch products into highly competitive industries to completely redefining a market, from facilitating war games to overseeing national product recalls, from bringing an organization together to helping those I have worked for develop new locations, business, and competencies. The challenge is what I love because on the other side lies the opportunity and a new reward. As I look back upon the path that has led me here it could be summarized as an inclination toward challenging myself and hopefully helping others to break through perceived limitations or expectations. Whether it be building water towers while afraid of heights, attending a university of nearly after graduating in a class of just over 30, taking off to live in a hut and travel around the world on my second flight, or digging for ways to differentiate a commodity or disrupt an entire market, I enjoy the challenge. Before joining Woodruff, I was at Martin|Williams and also spent time at Colle+McVoy. I had the distinct privilege of volunteering for the U.S. Peace Corps, working with the Philippine Department of Agriculture.
