About Scott Kidder
Scott Kidder joined Colonial Adjustment in 1995 after earning a BS in Business Administration from the University of Denver. Inspired by his father, John T. Kidder Colonial\'s founder, Scott committed to learning all aspects of insurance adjustment. He earned adjuster licenses in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont and gained broad experience handling property and theft claims, mediations, settlement conferences, and high-profile liability investigations.Appointed President in 2010, Scott collaborated closely with his father to ensure a seamless transition before becoming CEO in 2014. As a leader and hands-on partner, Scott emphasizes accessibility, communication, and consistency in client relationships. His dedication to his father’s legacy continues to inspire his leadership journey. In 2024, Colonial Adjustment formed a strategic partnership through acquisition with Eberl to better serve its clients and their policyholders. Scott is an active member of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters and the Atlantic Claims Executive Association, attending conferences to stay current with industry trends. Scott is also a past president of the Southern Maine Claims Association.Scott lives in Windham, Maine, with his wife, Erica. He enjoys skiing, fishing, and playing golf with his two sons.
