ABOUT SCOTT HUNTER
I’m a multidisciplinary visual artist, educator, and researcher working at the intersection of environmental art, experimental photography, and new materialist practice. Currently Teaching Fellow in Photography at the University of Edinburgh, my work explores the material and ecological entanglements of post-industrial landscapes using lens-based media, plant-based chemistry, and sound.My installations frequently integrate living ecosystems, darkroom processes, and sensor-based technologies to question human-nonhuman relationships in the Anthropocene. Recent projects include Darkroom Ecology, exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in 2024, and Genescapes, a genetic phytoremediation research project.As an experienced project lead and arts educator, I also support cross-disciplinary learning through public workshops, residencies, and collaborative field research across photography, environmental humanities, and installation.w: cargocollective.com/scotthuntere: s••••••••@icloud.com
