ABOUT SCOTT HILL
I currently serve as a Sergeant with the Springfield, Missouri Police Department. I began my law enforcement career in 2007 as a patrol officer, gaining valuable experience in frontline police operations. In 2012, I transitioned to the Violent Crimes Unit as a detective, where I specialized in major case investigations. Four years later, in 2016, I was selected to serve as a lead homicide detective, taking on some of the department’s most complex and high-profile investigations.In 2020, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and assigned as a patrol supervisor, a role I held until 2022. I was then selected to supervise the Violent Crimes Unit within the Criminal Investigations Division, where I led a team of detectives investigating serious felony offenses. Since September 2023, I have served as the supervisor of the Homicide Unit. In this capacity, I oversee detectives responsible for follow-up investigations involving homicides, missing persons, suspicious deaths, and officer-involved shootings.Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I am an avid sports fan and enjoy cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals, and St. Louis Blues.
