About Scott Hert

After high school, I worked as a technician in my local pharmacy. I loved being able to make a difference and help people in a more immediate manner. During college, I found myself wanting to learn more about the industry and eventually began working at Prescriptions Solutions, which evolved into OptumRx a few years later. As a senior leader with more than 20 years of experience in pharmacy benefit management, I have extensive experience in team management, client relations, strategy and development. I’ve been with OptumRx for more than a decade. I shine when building and maintaining long-term relationships — and one reason I gravitated to become an account manager and work directly with clients. Currently, I lead a team of talented people that work closely with our clients to help them identify and reach their health care goals. We pride ourselves on building partnerships based on trust and integrity. A partner driven by compassion, I value true client collaboration. To unwind, I enjoy spending time with my family watching light-hearted movies, exercising or any physical activity that gets me outside, and entertaining close friends.
