ABOUT SCOTT HARRIS

I have a BSCE from the University of Missouri at Columbia and I am currently a PE in Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin and am a Certified Construction Quality Manager by the COE. My professional background reflects a wide range of civil engineering experience and achievements in organizational development, executive management rolls, quality control/ assurance/validation, project management, construction management, training, design, and client and government interaction. In my 30+ years of experience in all aspects of civil engineering, I am a \'doer\', have been a \'fixer\' and a \'setter upper\'. I devise and implement solutions to problems to achieve business goals and when necessary, institute new programs and solutions to problems and activities with issues. I champion process improvements and handle critical issues and come up with solutions while working collaboratively with the agencies and various technology partners as required. I am very active in DBIA, SAME and Kentucky Stormwater Association. I have been meeting with all levels of Share Holders, developing scopes of work, writing proposals, completing feasibility studies as a standard part of the required due diligence for projects, developing work breakdown structures, managing scope creep, invoicing, estimating construction costs, writing reports, completing project design, permitting work, scheduling and tracking the performance the work for the past 20 years for projects across the country. I have opened new offices for general civil firms and won the award for Quality Management from the International Road Federation for my work on the Design-Build Intercounty Connector Project as Quality Manager. I am proficient in HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, TR-55, Flowmaster, Hydro-CAD, Pond Pack, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, Lotus Notes, and several internet based databases (Site Manager, ProjectWise, Centric, E-Builder, ConstructWare) and have a working knowledge of Auto-Cad, LDD and Civil 3-D.
