Scott was born and raised in New Orleans. He graduated from the University of Mississippi and attended George Washington University for graduate studies. Scott spent 9 years in Corp and Intl Banking before returning to work with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1996. His charitable and civic duties include having served as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater New Orleans, working for Habitat for Humanity, member of the Alumnae Board of Isidore Newman School, and Advisory Board member of the Salvation Army of Greater New Orleans and the Board of the Stuart Hall School for Boys. He is a past Chairman and current emeritus board member of the Board of the YMCA of Greater New Orleans and current Board Member of the Metropolitan Crime Commission. Scott and his wife Jennifer have two daughters and one son, and are happy empty nesters.
