Works under the very general supervision of senior office management, performing special assignments, often on an emergency basis and of a complex, mission-oriented nature. Programs and projects may be initiated by special problems or needs of various operating components throughout OTS and CDER. Plans, completes and submits written project reports and deliverables that cross disciplinary and organizational lines, often independently and with minimal guidance and supervision. Prepares complex analyses that impact Office components and programs based on studies to design, install and improve planning systems and decision models.Serves as special assistant to Office Director, Associate Director for Statistical Policy and four Expert Statistical Advisors. Plans, coordinates, directs and oversees at several programs and projects, to ensure the quality of the technical program planning and execution, compliance with office policies and budget, consistency with mission priorities and administrative productivity. Provides technical and program management advice to these programs and projects in a human drug evaluation and research for licensure environment.
