About Scott Golde

At Jackson, I serve as chief ethics and compliance officer at our public holding company and general counsel of our main operating company, Jackson National Life Insurance Company. In these roles, I oversee compliance, serve as the lead attorney within the insurance company and manage the insurance and regulatory portions of the legal department. I focus on giving practical legal/compliance advice while leveraging my depth in broker-dealer, investment company, investment advisory and insurance regulations. I also draw from my experience as a federal prosecutor to identify legal and compliance risks. I am heavily involved in the overall management at Jackson, serving on the Senior Leadership Team, the Corporate Responsibility Working Group, the Product Development Working Group and as Legal Section Chief of our Cyber Incident Management Team. I am also Chair of the company\'s Enterprise Audit and Risk Management Committee, which covers Jackson\'s insurance, broker-dealer and investment advisory subsidiaries, and a director of Jackson National Asset Management, a registered investment adviser.I am active in the community as a Board Member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee and Chair of the Michigan Life & Health Guaranty Association. Previously I served as a member of the Advisory Council at the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts at Michigan State University. I also teach at the Michigan State University College of Law. I earned my bachelor’s degree in political science at Indiana University and my law degree at Washington University in St. Louis. I love exploring my new(ish) home town of Nashville, spending time outdoors in northern Michigan, reading, hanging out with my wife of 27 years and our two sons, and watching my Indiana Hoosiers, St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues compete.
