Responsible for the day-to-day operations of McAllen Heart Hospital / Cardiac invasive service line. My patient care areas of responsibility include the following: Cardiac Cath, IR, EP, Vascular, Structural Heart, Pre/post-recovery.Some of the scopes of duties and accomplishments, including management services, are summarized as follows:• Developed and implemented a process to improve efficiencies and throughput, resulting in decreased denials. Thereby enhancing revenue and reducing rework on the backend• Increased gross revenue by 100% compared to budget while keeping cost flat when comparing to revenue• Assessed policy and procedures, staffing patterns, device usage, and decreased owned inventory.• Trained and monitored staff to ensure competency in all procedures.• Lead successful implementation of the structural heart program.• Implemented a highly successful start-up of a new EP program• Maintain and grow relationships with physicians in the drive for quality improvement.• Develop the necessary infrastructure to support clinical and operational integration of the service line by assuring cardiovascular delivery across the continuum of services.• Develop short and long-range strategies/projects by researching, writing, and communicating business plans.
