About Scott Friedman
Started in the pet industry at the age of 12 working in my cousin\'s pet shop, Rhode Island Aquarium & Pet Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Cleaned fish tank filters, and bagged bulk feed and seed into sellable skus, utilizing the latest technologies from 1976: Sanford Black Magic markers, brown paper bags and Scotch tape. If time was available at the end of my shift, I was part of a team that was tasked with keeping the fish tanks in pristine shape by extracting unicellular algae varietals from the aquarium surfaces, This process continually improved daily sales whenever implemented. In one week back in September of 1976, I increased sales of a tank of red-tailed guppies into double-digit territory - over 78%.Nowadays I have moved laterally into the cat space still within the pet industry. I am now making cat parents happy one litter box at a time.I am part of 2 special teams. One team I am a part of manages several Pet Distributors and Direct Accounts in the United States and Canada: American Distribution & Manufacturing Company, Bradley Caldwell, Fauna Foods, Frontier Distributing, General Pet Supply, Pet Food Experts, Phillips Pet Foods, Pet Supermarket. In Canada: Pet Science, Pet Valu and Manchester Pet and Supplies.The other team I am a part of has been managing Chewy for 11 years.And that\'s the scoop-)
