Report to the GM and lead a team of 204 people including 8 direct reports: 4 General Supervisors, 2 DevelopmentSuperintendents and 2 Operations Coordinators.• Accountable for $100M annual operating budget plus capital projects spend.• Responsible for the Mine Operations teams including Production Drilling, Raiseboring, Mine Development, Material Movement, Mine Construction and Freeze Drilling.• Rebuilt the leadership team for the Mining Department.• Maintained a strong focus on field safety leadership at all levels and improved the mine’s operational discipline and accountability, reducing TRIR, TIR and absenteeism, while improving employee retention and schedule adherence.• Project Sponsor of several capital projects onsite including Generation 1 & 2 remote Raisebore tools, underground equipment revitalization, new concrete pumping station design, and teleremote operation of underground loaders.• Doubled the development rates achieved since restart.• Created and recruited new Mine Operations Coordinator role.• Upgraded the site’s Underground Traffic Control Plan, introducing requirements such as radios in all underground equipment, loader-controlled work areas, positive communications requirements, and towing standards.• Lead the rewrite of all Mine Operations procedures to improve critical controls and adequate standards of work.• Reinstated regular 3rd Party inspections of raisebore rods, leading to an initial refurbishment of 80% of the operation’s raisebore rods.
