ABOUT SCOTT FENTON

I’m a Senior Product Architect working in retail planning, with a background in space planning, category management, and business consulting.I came up through space and category roles before moving into consulting and then into product, which is why I tend to work across product, engineering, and commercial teams.Most of my work is about shaping what gets built, why it gets built, and how it fits the real problems people are trying to solve. A lot of the time that means helping teams deal with messy, complex areas and turn them into things that are actually deliverable and useful.I’m usually involved in things like: • Making sure product direction is grounded in real user and business needs • Helping teams make sensible trade-offs when things get complex • Turning vague ideas into clear, workable plans • Stress-testing assumptions before they turn into expensive mistakesI’m primarily focused on making sure we’re building the right things, for the right reasons, and that they work in the real world.
