About Scott Dworkin

I am an aerial photographer, contractor and photojournalist based outside of Los Angeles, California. I have had a lifelong passion for aviation and photography, and after building up my skills as a photographer in various disciplines for many years, I decided to combine those two interests professionally in 2010. Since 2010, my work has been published in numerous international aviation magazines and websites. As a photographer and writer, I have flown with and covered every branch of the United States Armed Forces, as well as worked with many Department of Defense, civilian aviation outfits, and law enforcement aviation units. I embedded with the United States Air Force 452nd Airlift Wing, from March Air Reserve Base in California and traveled with them to Afghanistan to cover their aeromedical evacuation missions and has also traveled around the United States extensively documenting various other military and civilian units in action. I am one of only a handful of civilians in the world that has been privileged to fly as an aerial photographer in high performance military aircraft.​My freelance work led to me being hired by the 412th Test Wing, Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base, California as a full time Flight Test Photographer. While there I was tasked to provide aerial multimedia, both air-to-air and air-to-ground coverage, including still photography, high definition videography, high-speed video, and post production. I routinely flew in various Air Force aircraft to provide documentation of ordnance and weapons testing, drop tests, aircraft flight performance, and other operational missions as required and delivered final products to the Air Force Flight Test Center, the Department of Defense, and various other contract customers. After leaving Edwards I was recruited by, and worked as a contracted flight test photographer/videographer for the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Naval Test Wing Pacific, at both Point Mugu, and China Lake in California and other locations as required. ​I was hired, and currently am on a contract to support the Boeing Flight Test Multimedia Team of photographers and videographers as required on numerous ongoing aircraft development programs throughout the company.Additionally I am an instructor at USC Viterbi School of Engineering where I teach Photography for Accident Investigation. I am also the author of the book Becoming the RhinoFinally, I work with my wife in the Thousand Oaks/Conejo Valley and surrounding areas as a Realtor, currently with The One Luxury Properties.
