Previous as Acting Assistant Secretary - Indian Affairs, is the highest ranked position in the federal government for Indian Affairs, and a senior advisor to the Secretary Doug Burgum-U.S. Department of the Interior.In my new role, I will continue to provide the highest level of services to Indian Country and directly oversee numerous BIA/BIE programs and departments. Also provide highest level of leadership and direction to Secretary Burgum and Assistant Secretary Kirland. I provide leadership, direction, decision and counsel to the Secretary of the Interior on a tribal legal and policy matters, developing federal Indian policy. Oversee the 12 Regions, including Alaska, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Law Enforcment and the Bureau of Indian Education, while leading a workforce throughout nearly 6,500 people nationwide.
