ABOUT SCOTT COLONEY

I am a real estate developer, infrastructure entrepreneur, and systems builder with a 40-year career spanning telecommunications, financial infrastructure, real estate development, platform software, energy systems, and next-generation digital infrastructure.Across multiple economic cycles, my work has consistently focused on infrastructure-first businesses—identifying emerging platforms early, building execution-driven companies, and competing successfully against entrenched incumbents.I began my career in the 1980s and 1990s in the payphone and ATM industries, gaining early exposure to capital-intensive, location-based infrastructure. I later assisted in scaling a nationwide telecom operator to more than payphones across 22 states, learning firsthand how focused operators can outperform monopolies.Following telecommunications deregulation, I founded and scaled a public payphone company in Canada, becoming the first American-owned operator licensed in the country, and exited within a year. During the dot-com era, I founded an internet startup that was acquired within six months, followed by building a global consumer electronics supply chain spanning Europe, China, and the United States.Since 2001, my primary focus has been real estate. I worked through the full housing cycle—from expansion to collapse—completing more than 600 short sales during the foreclosure crisis and leading the development of an advanced multi-party short-sale coordination platform. When the crisis subsided, I transitioned fully into redevelopment and new construction.Since 2013, I’ve led Flagler Duval, developing 50+ new-construction projects and managing land assemblage, entitlements, redevelopment, and long-term asset creation.In 2023, I founded USA Supercharge, an EV charging infrastructure platform built on the same principles that defined early telecom networks: strategic locations, scalable deployment, and long-term infrastructure ownership.In 2025, I launched a founder-led incubation platform focused on the next layer of durable infrastructure: • Ground Substance – continuity-grade data center infrastructure • Constant Life – persistent personal AI and digital identity systems • Computer Biology Labs – research and collaboration in computer biology and artificial life systemsMy work sits at the intersection of energy, data, and identity, with a long-term focus on infrastructure designed to endure beyond market cycles.
