About Scott Cieslak
I believe great organizations are built at the intersection of people, purpose, and performance.Today I serve as President of Kinetyc, an adaptive manufacturing company focused on helping advanced technology companies scale complex hardware from prototype through early production. Our team works with innovators across industries including electric mobility, robotics, industrial technology, and defense systems, helping turn breakthrough ideas into products that reach the world.Kinetyc operates within Voltava, a manufacturing ecosystem formed through the combination of Detroit Manufacturing Systems and Android Industries. Together we represent one of North America’s largest independent manufacturing platforms supporting global OEM supply chains. My career has taken an unconventional path across finance, strategy, commercial leadership, and operations, including serving as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Commercial Officer at Detroit Manufacturing Systems. That journey shaped how I lead today — combining analytical rigor with people-centered leadership.I enjoy helping teams simplify complex challenges and align around a clear vision. One skill colleagues often mention is my ability to tell the story behind the numbers — translating data, strategy, and market dynamics into narratives teams and partners can rally around.Outside of Kinetyc, I serve on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), engaging with industry leaders and policymakers on the future of manufacturing and strengthening American industrial capability.Community impact is deeply important to me. I serve on the Board of Directors for Fleece & Thank You, a nonprofit bringing comfort to children in hospitals through nationwide blanket-making programs and the Grateful Human brand. These initiatives deliver both physical comfort and messages of encouragement to children facing medical challenges.Outside of work, the roles I value most are husband and father. My wife Jody and I are incredibly proud of our three children, and much of our time outside work is spent supporting their interests, traveling together, and building family traditions.Leadership PhilosophyI believe the most important responsibility of a leader is to create an environment where talented people can do meaningful work together and leave the organization stronger than they found it.Businesses succeed when people feel trusted, challenged, and connected to a purpose larger than themselves.
