Controls Design Lead / EPLAN Lead. I also manage all EPP and SEP requirements for the jobs that have either one of these error proofing platforms. Our main customer being General Motors being that we are a strategic supplier for powertrain dress. I am still a designer and I am in charge of multiple projects while also tending to my other responsibilities. With General Motors push towards electrification we have many jobs in the pipeline.

ABOUT SCOTT CARNEY
Experienced team.player and also a great leader. I have GM certifications in GCCH-1, GCCS-2, EPP and EPLAN. I have experience in many different areas of controls including tooling, conveyors and fluid fill. I also spent 4 years operating a CMM in the machine tool industry. I was primarily a hardware designer with some software experience but have been involved with Error Proofing since Nov 2020. I have been working on GMs current error proofing platform EPP with some exposure to their old platform SEP. I was the first at HTI to get involved with EPP and have worked on training a team that now consists of 7 people. I was the only EPP engineer that worked on our first major project using EPP for Factory Zero. I also was the project lead for the installation at Factory Zero where I led a team of 3 people on the install of 3 systems in 2021. I have learned more in the past year than I have in the past 10 in my career while learning EPP and all of the facets that make it work. None of the pieces that make up EPP are that difficult but making them all work together is the challenge. I look forward to continuing to learn more about EPP as well as all of the other advancements that are happening in the controls industry.
