About Scott Carlson

President and Chief Executive Officer, Carlson has led Westin Foods through several acquisitions and major product launches, including the purchase of Mario Olive Company from Beatrice Foods, now the largest olive importer in the United States. Carlson has overseen sales and facility expansion in South America and Spain as well as in the United States. His career has been highlighted by assembling organizations focused on customer needs and consumer trends.

   Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Nebraska/Lincoln in 1980, Carlson joined Caterpillar Tractor in Peoria, Illinois as a Marketing Representative. In 1983, Carlson returned to Omaha where he joined Westin Foods and later was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer. He currently is a shareholder and sits on the Board of Directors. In addition, Carlson is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Mario Camacho Foods.Other divisions under the Westin umbrella are: Feaster Foods located in Omaha and Fairbury, NE; Mario Frozen Foods, Westin Packaged Meats and Westin Health and Wellness located in Omaha, NE. Westin currently operates plants in Nebraska and Iowa.
