Assistant Soccer Coach Men\'s and Women\'s Adjunct Instructor for Exercise Science @San Diego Mesa College

As the Assistant Soccer Coach at a college, play a key role in supporting both the Men\'s and Women\'s soccer programs. In partnership with the head coaches, work to create a supportive, inclusive, and empowering culture that prioritizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence in the sport and in the classroom. As an integral part of player development, provide personalized coaching, run skills-enhancing drills, conduct strength and conditioning training, and assess individual and team progress for both programs. Analyze in-game performance and contribute to game planning strategies that prioritize player well-being and fair play, in accordance with and PCAC guidelines. Support equitable recruitment efforts that celebrate diversity and provide opportunities for all student-athletes in both programs. Represent both programs and the college with integrity and in a manner that aligns with the school\'s values.As an Adjunct Instructor, bring a passion for education and soccer to the classroom by leading engaging courses in the field of Health and Exercise Studies. Design dynamic lesson plans and provide a combination of lectures and hands-on learning opportunities that foster student understanding and retention of key concepts. Continuously evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods to maximize student engagement, success, and growth.Selected Contributions: The 2019 team was a State Championship Finalist. The 2019 and 2021 team were the PCAC Conference Champions. The team was the first from San Diego to reach the State Final in women’s soccer.
