About Scott Balint
Growing up in Asia and Europe (third-culture kid) provided me with a unique worldview and skillset. Such a multi-cultural background has developed in me an awareness and appreciation of cross-cultural interpersonal interactions. Early on I developed keen observational skills allowing me to quickly assess a situation and see multiple points of view and put people at ease. “Thinking outside the box” is for me the norm – not an exception or “special skill.” This has allowed me thrive in the international freight forwarding business where intercultural communication and the ability to manage diversity are critical skills.My love of traveling has spanned 5 continents and taken me to numerous countries - my favorites being Switzerland and Kenya. Any chance I get to go somewhere new and meet new people, I am ready and willing.I love to work with people. I am open-minded, non-judgmental and a keen observer of human nature always working to bring out the best in people. I can easily put myself in others’ shoes and when a customer, co-worker, friend or industry associate encounters a problem or difficult situation, I look to work on a solution and solve the issue together. I constantly strive to teach people what I know and am always willing and wanting to learn more.
