ABOUT SCOTT ANDERSON
Most of my professional experience is in the analysis of dams and levees. In particular, I have worked on Isabella Dam, both the main and auxiliary dams, Scoggins dam in Oregon, along with Big Creek Dams 1 and 2, also in Oregon and Oroville dam, where we performed 3D seepage and stability analysis. I have a passion for working on dams and levees and have been lucky to have the opportunity to have worked on dams and levees throughout my career. I also have some experience in the design and analysis of nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. I have also worked in transportation (both design-build and design-bid-build), buildings (high-rise and low-rise structures) and earth retaining structures. Specialties: Numerical modeling of earth structures - static and dynamic deformation, static and dynamic soil properties, slope stability, seepage, advanced laboratory testing Currently working with Python and R programming languages to augment my computer science background of C/C++, FORTRAN, HPF, and the use of FISH scripting language in FLAC.
