ABOUT SCOTT ABBOTT

Scott has lived in Charlottesville since 1989 and earned his B.A. from Longwood University in 1997. He has been involved in many facets of residential real estate and development in Charlottesville since 1998, including commercial & residential property management, subdivision development & real estate sales, and has held his real estate license since (his license is currently being held with Pavillion Properties LLC in Charlottesville, VA). Scott holds a Virginia Class A Contractors License with ‘Building’ designation, and holds the ‘Aging in Place’ designation from the National Association of Home Builders. Most recently, Scott completed the ‘Earth Craft Certification Program for Green Building’ in 2008, and also earned his certification with the Environmental Protection Agency as a ‘Certified Remodeler’ in 2010. Over the years, he has personally served as project manager and/or site superintendent for over 30 large scale projects, including his most recent involvement with the 25 unit assisted living facility project as Phase I of RoseWood Village at Wintergreen, located in Nellysford, Virginia. Scott was a founding partner in Dwell General Contracting in 2006, that would later evolve into Evergreen Real Estate and Construction in 2009. He remained as partner in Evergreen until incorporating his own company, Abbott & Company General Contractors, in the beginning of 2012. On April 1st of 2014, Abbott & Company received the EarthCraft Virginia \'Newbie Builder of the Year for 2013\' along with the \'#4 Most Efficient Home\' out of the top 10 most efficient homes in the state as part of the EarthCraft rating system earning a 30 HERS rating for 608 Belmont Ave. In 2018 Abbott & Company General Contractors merged with Ace Contracting Inc, and Scott was brought on as a managing partner. He continues to help run the Class A contracting firm with his business partner Mark McCullough.
