ABOUT CASSIE SCHWARTZ
As the Director of K-12 Educator Outreach at the K-12 Fairness Center, a division of StandWithUs, I support our national efforts to combat antisemitism in schools. In this role, I draw upon deep experience in educational leadership to respond to the crisis of antisemitism that erupted after October 7th.This work is built on my 20-year foundation as an educator and school principal, where my mission was fostering belonging in a wonderfully diverse school community. While my passion for fighting all hate is long-standing, the events of October 7th galvanized me to focus my expertise. This led to my doctoral dissertation documenting the experiences of Jewish American public school educators in the post-October 7th landscape, and to my current role where I translate that combined experience into concrete action.Through the K-12 Fairness Center, we provide high-quality professional development to educators at all levels, from school board members to teachers, and review curriculum and educational materials for accuracy and fairness. We offer direct support by providing technical assistance to those facing antisemitism in schools, while also nurturing a robust network of K-12 educators and allies. To explore how we can partner to address these challenges in your community, please feel free to connect.
