ABOUT ADRIENNE SCHMOEKER
I advise and lead on new engagements for select clients building on a decade plus of managing strategic initiatives and providing leadership across multiple sectors. I started my career in a leadership development program at a Fortune 500 company before moving into the NYC startup space where I spent three years working at Catchafire, a technology-powered social enterprise. At Catchafire I led campaigns to build communities in new markets and collaborated with the technology team to design and launch an enterprise platform and service, providing skills-based volunteer programs and nonprofit capacity programs for nearly a dozen corporate and philanthropic foundation clients.Passionate about the potential of technology, transparency and community to bring about systemic change, I joined the inaugural New York City Mayor\'s Office of Technology & Innovation team led by NYC\'s first-ever Chief Technology Officer to lead open innovation projects. I continued to advance open data and technology as I joined the New York City Mayor\'s Office of Data Analytics to lead the NYC Open Data Program - the nation\'s largest municipal public data service. In 2019 I stepped into a new role as the NYC Deputy Chief Analytics Officer managing a team of data scientists, managers and strategists in serving dozens of city agencies and New Yorkers in a broad portfolio of nearly two dozen projects focused on data analytics, policy and new program development. I currently serve as an advisor to a variety of organizations across technology, transparency and civics and am exploring various projects across the open government, civic technology and participatory democracy communities. I have shared my experiences and ideas at Conscious Capitalism (2014), Mozilla Festival (2017) via the Open Leaders Program, SXSW Cities Summit (2018), Smart Cities NYC (2019), Code for America Summit (2019) and as the keynote speaker for the 10 year anniversary celebration of Finland\'s Open Data Program (2019).
