ABOUT SCHANE PORTER

In 2005, I embarked on a journey that would shape my life profoundly by joining the Army as an Ammunition Technician. Within less than a year, I found myself deployed to Iraq, where I served with dedication and resilience for four years.After my military service, I transitioned into civilian life, taking on various roles such as Loss Mitigation Specialist, Armed Security Officer, and working at Quest Diagnostics. My career path took an unexpected turn when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, but it also brought a blessing into my life with the birth of my daughter in late December 2019.In 2020, I was fortunate to join ChargerHelp! as part of their first cohort, becoming an EVSE Technician. This role marked a significant shift in my career, and I embraced the opportunity to grow and learn in the emerging field of electric vehicle service equipment.In 2021, I took a bold step by applying for a Service Technician position at Lucid Motors, despite not meeting all the qualifications. The management saw potential in me and created a unique position, making me Lucid’s very first Apprentice Technician. Over the past two years, I have continued to develop my skills and knowledge, all while pursuing an Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology.Today, I am proud to work at Lucid Motors, where I continue to grow professionally.
