Built and maintain sendmail antispam package (enemieslist) as well as data mining and classification of threats by hostname analysis, other factors. Just another perl hacker.Authored/contributed to books on Dynamic HTML, XML, XHTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Web design & online community; technical editing/review to Unix Power Tools (3/e) and dozens of books on similar topics. Wrote for Webmonkey, Apple\'s Internet Developer, O\'Reilly Network, developer.com and other venues as well as for print magazines such as WebTechniques / New Architect.Founded popular Webdesign-L community in 1997; served as \"List Mom\". Co-Founded the Web Standards Project, served on its Steering Committee, as Group Lead from 20••••04. Involved with Web conferences since 1997, with the Miller-Freeman/CMP Web97 through Web2001 conferences and South by Southwest Interactive (SxSWi) since serving on their Advisory Boards.Coined \"progressive enhancement\" as Web design strategy; widely adopted by conscientious Web builders.
