I support a suite of technology programs at REI, a 20-million-member co-op that\'s driven by the belief that \"A life outside is a life well lived.\" I\'m passionate about empowering teams, creating amazing omni-channel customer experiences, developing efficient and effective platforms, and overcoming any obstacles that stand in the way. I\'m energized by solving complex problems and building strategies and systems to support the ever-evolving needs of the business while making life easier for internal teams. I know this work can’t be done alone, so I strive to build meaningful relationships with my team, partners, and leaders so we all can do our best work. Before joining REI, I spent 15 years as a manager, managing editor, and news director with leading brands, publications, and startups including Microsoft, Forbes, and FLYP Media.    Provide thought leadership, direction, and support for a suite of programs that deliver data, product information, content, and services to enable the creation of omnichannel digital experiences. Accomplishments so far- Established a platform program team, including defining the operations, governance, and user support focus of their work and clarifying the way they partner with product teams - Created a new job family that aligns program management roles with other job families and creates development paths for both people managers and individual contributors - Drove the completion of a value stream mapping project assessing how content is created, managed, and distributed across the enterprise, identified the biggest challenges we face today, and defined our desired future state
