ABOUT SCHAD RICHEA
After serving 2-terms as Department Chair for Physical Education Studies, I led the department in re-shaping our academic program, coaches and staff recruitment and retention, and our athletics program, most notably in student-athlete high performance. I am currently the Certified Athletic Therapist for Bobcats Athletics and responsible for the Sports Injury Clinic in BU\'s Healthy Living Centre which serves the Westman region. Since 2021, I have served on the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association Board of Directors and am currently the Board Chair - CATA President. My professional sport experience includes the CFL, MiLB, and nearly professional hockey games including the NHL\'s Calgary Flames where I worked the 2012 NHL All-Star Game. I\'ve worked for three NSO\'s and numerous National, Pan Am, World Championships and an Olympic Games. I am a strong advocate for provincial health regulation of health professions. I have consulted with provincial governments, health ministries and self-regulated health professions to ensure public safety, professional ethics, evidence based practice, accountability, and enhanced health profession\'s recognition and innovation in public health care. I have volunteered on advisory boards and have been appointed as a public member of self regulatory boards where I have enhanced boards\' organizational capacity with executive searches and organizational restructuring.\"Putting the right people on the right seats on the right bus!\"
