Scott Barter is a member of the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF). He provides assessments, client-centered therapy, treatment planning & referrals, and crisis interventions. Scott’s goal is to professionally and compassionately guide the client through each phase of their recovery. Scott is committed to excellence while providing the client with warmth and an understanding environment, in which the client’s goals can be realized.Since 2008, Scott has led and facilitated mental health and alcohol & drug abuse support groups at Upper Canada College and has lectured to parents and students. Scott’s speaking engagements on mental health and addictions have taken him to other independent schools, TDSB schools, and businesses across Toronto. Scott has received awards for Academic Excellence from Ryerson University and McMaster University where he completed his Bachelor of Commerce, and Addiction Careworker Diploma respectively. In the spring of 2016 he was awarded the Harold A.D. Roberts award for his volunteering in the community.
