About Tony Scavone

I am the guy who is often so focused on continuous improvement and eliminating inefficiencies that I find myself doing it around the house with home improvement projects. While my bias for action is very beneficial professionally, sometimes it hinders my weekend DIY projects. As the Director of Supply Chain Planning at PCH I led a talented team of professionals planning demand and supply as well as the S & OP process for the portfolio of over $2B in the U.S.As my career path indicates I have a depth of experience in CPG/FMCG supply chain management beginning with my undergraduate degree from Penn State. I have had the somewhat unique opportunity to work for both the largest food and pharmaceutical companies in the country. The supply chains for both have proven to be as different in as many ways as they are the same. My roles have given me the opportunity to become experienced in most all supply chain disciplines from procurement and forecasting to S & OP and production planning. I have also been afforded the privilege of being extremely close to our marketing and sales efforts while leading our S & OP process. I have gained an invaluable knowledge base of engaging consumers and influencing their behavior to drive demand through insights.Some key events that I’ve been intimately involved in or responsible for that have helped shape my professional development:The Rx to OTC switch of Nexium 24HR, Launches of 3 NDA products - Advil PM, Advil Film Coated and Advil Congestion Relief, Implementing JDA to replace SAP APO for forecasting at Pfizer Consumer, and acquisitions of Nabisco by Kraft, Wyeth by Pfizer and ultimately the joint venture between GSK & Pfizer consumer businesses.
