About Susan Borgos

I am an attorney and systems engineer with over 18 years of contract drafting experience, 10 years of litigation experience and over 20 years of IT services experience. As a Senior Contracts Manager at Cognizant, I draft and negotiate IT services contracts and licensing agreements for software products, working autonomously but hand in hand with the legal department and the sales and delivery teams. I ensure that the contracts meet the company\'s policies and standards regarding pricing, margins, IP protection, and revenue recognition, and that they reflect the needs and expectations of our clients. I also assist with negotiations and explain contract language to clients, as needed, using my legal background and communication skills.As the owner of Office Technology Solutions, Inc, I provide managed IT Services to law firms and other small businesses.Outside of work, I am passionate about fencing, a sport that I have been refereeing for over 34 years at all levels, from beginners to Olympians. I love to help the sport by doing my best as a referee and by mentoring other referees and encouraging growing fencers. Since 2018, I have also been a referee assignor and a Referee Ombudsman, a role that allows me to support referees and to be a member of the Referees Commission. My focus is on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and fair treatment of all referees. I strive to make the world a better place by learning and growing every single day, and by helping others do the same.
