ABOUT STEVE HODGSON

I’m a Consulting Director at Fortia Insight, leading our Health, Care and Wellbeing team with a focus on research, evaluation and analytics. With over 18 years of experience in the sector, I help clients use data and evidence to understand impact, inform strategy and drive improved outcomes.My team works across the health and care system - including the NHS, local government, national bodies, and the voluntary sector - addressing both service delivery and the wider determinants of health. Our work spans health and innovation, and explores how environments, homes, neighbourhoods, and work influence the factors that shape wellbeing, resilience, and sustainability across people, places, and systems.My background combines applied analytics, data science and mixed-method evaluation, underpinned by a first-class degree in Operational Research and a master’s degree with distinction in Applied Data Analytics. I’m passionate about evidence-led improvement - helping organisations navigate complexity, build capability and turn insight into meaningful, measurable change.
