About Siddharth Batra

Maximising my contribution to tackling climate change is my passion and purpose! I have complete my Master\'s in Diplomacy, Law and Business with a specialisation in International Development. Before my stints in the domain of climate change with organisations like International Solar Alliance and UNESCO Association, I worked with a trading firm as a project manager for 2+ years. With an inherent motivation to contribute to sustainability, I have published articles and a research paper on innovative, replicable and scalable solutions for climate change issues. Based on my on-ground research and fieldwork on climate change in the tribal areas of North East India, I designed and wrote a 75-page report on ‘Climate Change Adaptation Strategies for Bamboo Drip Irrigation System in Assam and Meghalaya’, which also discusses the issues of diversity and inclusion (climate-inclusiveness) of the tribal community. At present, I am working on 2 self-starter projects on bio-remediation based water recycling and nature-based ecosystem adaptation to the rising temperatures at the local level. Along with multiple awards for academic excellence received throughout the Master’s Programme, my research paper on ‘Innovative Climate Adaptation Strategies for Bamboo Drip Irrigation System’ was awarded as the 2nd best research paper at an International Conference. With the intent of learning continuously, I have been pursuing UN courses on climate change and learning Spanish as well.
