coordinating highway projects with affected railroads in the State of Arizona from development thru post construction. Project scope ranges from complex grade separation projects, widening of existing bridges and at-grade crossings, updating railroad-traffic signal preemption and pavement preservation projects. Work with railroads consists of hosting diagnostic meetings, plan review and approval, negotiating and administering various agreements and licenses, payment processing and closeout. Work also consists of working with Arizona Corporation Commission including providing expert sworn testimony and obtaining Opinion and Order as needed for railroad work. Coordinate with the Resident Engineer during construction to reduce or eliminate any railroad related delays. Oversight of railroad and local agency work and closeout of the project. I also review accident reports and near-miss reports to identify future projects.
