ABOUT SAYED ISHRAQUE HOSSAIN

Hi, I’m Sayed Ishraque Hossain — a recent graduate from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies, specializing in Sustainable Environmental Management. With hands-on experience across consulting, research, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination, I’m passionate about driving forward climate solutions, clean energy transitions, and sustainability innovation. Most recently, I interned with the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC), where I conducted North America-wide ESG research, mapped private sector climate actors, and authored a report to strengthen CEC’s private sector engagement strategy. Prior to that, I worked on building energy assessments and retrofit analysis with York Sustainable Enterprise Consultants (YSEC) and advanced GHG reduction strategies as a HAIIvVE Intern with the RISC Foundation, supporting York Region’s climate goals. My skillset includes sustainability strategy, data analysis, KPI development, stakeholder outreach, and project delivery — strengthened by experience working across municipal and academic institutions like York University, and international initiatives such as HTCW Global Sustainability Bootcamp. I’m deeply curious about the intersection of decarbonization, energy analytics, and sustainable infrastructure. I thrive in environments that challenge me to research, collaborate, and creatively solve complex problems. I’m currently seeking early-career opportunities in energy consulting, climate policy, sustainability analytics, or clean tech. Let’s connect!
