About Sayed Aziz Azimi
Sayed ‘Aziz’ Azimi is President and Chief Executive Officer of Technologists, Inc.(Ti), an international engineering and management consultant company. He is an entrepreneur and a seasoned manager with great understanding of working in challenging and remote environments. Also, he is an expert in practical application of energy and energy efficiency related technologies and practices. In Mr. Azimi founded Ti, initially as an information-technology company, that provided energy efficiency and operations and management services to federal government agencies in Washington D.C. Mr. Azimi launched Ti’s Afghanistan operations in 2004 by building three industrial parks in support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) activities in that country. Presently, Ti has grown to be one of the most successful and well respected contractors through its work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, USAID and other clients. Ti has designed and built more than 80 large and 1,500 smaller projects, running the full spectrum of vertical and horizontal structures.Mr. Azimi’s present leadership of Ti draws on his earlier experiences as a trainer. Ti offers its staff an extensive range of capacity-building and skills-development courses in engineering, construction, management, and other disciplines. His company is also strongly committed to women’s empowerment. Mr. Azimi has consulted clients like the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and General Sevices Agency by conducting energy efficiency studies in a variety of industries and by evaluating newly emerging technologies in this field. In the early 1990s, Mr. Azimi conducted brainstorming sessions with senior industry representatives to prepare vision statements for energy-use trends and technologies for the future. Mr. Azimi writes and lectures frequently on topics related to economic development, job creation, education, foreign investment, and institutional reforms.
