About Sayan Ghosh Dastidar
I\'m a passionate Quality Assurance/Test Engineer with 7+ years of experience. I have been working extensively on Functional Testing, both manually and through Test Automation. I\'m currently part of an agile project in the US Corporate Income Tax domain at EY since 2021. In the past, while I was in Cognizant, I had been working on another agile project involving a leading Airline from UAE.I have a good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). I primarily focus on testing the functionalities of the application and its individual modules along with UI testing, Cross Browser Compatibility testing, as well as performing end-to-end Integration Testing and Regression testing in all projects that I have been part of. I have also done API testing as well as Database testing.I actively participate in requirement analysis and backlog grooming sessions, helping with the refinement of user stories. I design the test cases based on the requirements, then ensure the timely execution of those test cases, and the reporting of the bugs. I\'m proficient with Test/Defect management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, and Azure DevOps.I have been a key contributor to Test Automation in my previous project, always ensuring that the functional test cases are timely automated and properly maintained, with a coverage of over 70%. Test Automation tools like Selenium and Cucumber were primarily used by me for automation using Java as the scripting language. In my current project, I\'m automating the test application using UiPath and VBA.I have extensive experience working in the BDD/TDD framework and in Agile Methodologies like SAFe and Scrum. I bolstered my expertise with the completion of the SAFe Agile Practitioner 4.6 certification in 2020.Beyond my professional endeavors, I passionately follow sports, particularly football, and Formula 1, investing time in both spectating and analyzing these events. I also indulge my interest in movies, TV series, and the cosmos, exploring the realms of space and the Universe.
