About Sayak Mukherjee
I am interested in learning-based control methods that provide theoretical guarantees, with applications in Power and Energy Systems. My research focuses on developing and analyzing control frameworks in Optimal and Robust Control, Reinforcement Learning (RL), and AI/ML. I focus on applying these tools to problems involving Power System Dynamics and Stability, Smart Grids, Distributed Energy Resources, Grid Resiliency, and Safety. I did my Ph.D. under the direction of Dr. Aranya Chakrabortty at North Carolina State University. I have joined PNNL as a post-doctorate research associate in the optimization and control group, and currently hold the research scientist position.
